The closing image of last week's NXT saw both Kyle O'Reilly and NXT Champion Finn Balor flat on their backs, with the former suffering a set of herniated discs from Adam Cole's attack.

So, what did the Undisputed Era man have to say for himself this week? Well, after watching back the harrowing footage from last week, Cole admitted that being frustrated at O'Reilly's multiple opportunities and failure to capture the brand's top belt didn't excuse his actions. Cole would then confess he made a stupid mistake and hates himself for that, apologising to his brother.

Not content with Cole's supposed apology, Roderick Strong then made his way into the arena, blasting Cole for not showing remorse and explaining himself sooner, and for what he did to both Kyle and the UE unit. It wasn't long before a fed up 'Prince' also arrived on the scene, shoving Roderick to one side in order to get his hands on Cole.

An all out melee, involving Balor eating yet another superkick, ended in Strong waylaying Cole before the two kissed and made up...for about five seconds. Cole suddenly would pulverise his UE brethren in the !*$%, yank his chain from around his neck, and end his night with his own superkick for good measure.

If it wasn't clear before, it looks like Adam Cole's days as the leader of NXT's most dominant squad of stars is well and truly over.

What this means for the NXT title scene at this moment in time is anyone's guess, but Cole seemingly will stop at nothing to get his hands back on it...and that's undisputed.
