6. Burch's Unfortunate Injury Leads To Monumental Announcement

When news broke of the severity of Danny Burch's shoulder injury, suffered during last week's tag team main event, William Regal quickly announced that the brand's men's tag belts would be vacated. An announcement regarding the titles would be made on this week's show, and, oh boy, what an announcement it was.

Dusty Cup winners MSK, fellow finalists Grizzled Young Veterans, and Legado del Fantasma (because, why not?) will all meet in the squared-circle on Night One of TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, with the winners walking away as NXT's new tag team standard bearers and gold wearers.

On the one hand, MSK must be pissed at the reveal that the team they beat in the finals of the Dusty Classic and a unit that didn't even make the final are now challenging for the belts. But, in reality, none of that will likely matter once these three squads collide in the ring.
