Hot on the heels of the announcement that his and Danny Burch's NXT Tag Team titles would now be vacated coming into the biggest NXT show of the year, Oney Lorcan was faced with the unenviable task of taking on a pissed off Karrion Kross this week.

Understandably upset about the part Kross had to play in Burch's injury, Lorcan wasted little time going straight after the formidable force. Unfortunately, neutralising this former NXT Champion is usually easier said than done, as highlighted by Kross answering Lorcan's offence with body breaking slams and explosive clotheslines.

Rubbing salt in his prey's fairly fresh wounds, Kross would later reveal to Lorcan that he enjoyed injuring his partner a week ago, a move which only proved to inspire the passionate former tag champ to let fly with a string of flying uppercuts. This momentum sadly didn't last, however, as Kross ultimately turned the tide with a suplex, big boot, Saito Suplex and Time's Up forearm sequence that earned him the violent victory on the night.

Kross would then proceed to claim that he shouldn't have given Finn Balor the respect he did up until last week, a claim that provoked the NXT Champion into entering the arena. 'The Prince' soon admitted that Kross' emotions would likely be his downfall at TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, where, if he isn't able to control them, Balor would go out of his way to drown his challenger in icy cold waters.

Will the coolest cat in the room be able to deliver on this premonition? Or will he be force fed those words by the 'Bringer of Doomsday' in two week's time? If Kross' massacring of Lorcan, Burch and Balor over the last weeks is anything to go by, Balor may want to rethink poking this particular bear.
