4. WALTER Kills Maverick, Ciampa Wants The UK Title

Demanding to know where in the hell his partner Killian Dain had disappeared to, Drake Maverick furiously confronted Imperium backstage earlier in the week, only to be halted in his tracks by the NXT UK Champion WALTER.

Biting off waaaaay more than he could realistically chew, Maverick was fed to the 'Ring General' on this week's show. As you'd expect, the valiant former 24/7 Champion charged head-first into the challenge, only to be powerslammed, powerbombed and then cracked in half by a single-legged crab. WALTER was quickly awarded the victory on the back of Maverick being knocked out cold, but Imperium's night was far from over.

Tommaso Ciampa arrived on the scene soon enough, challenging WALTER to a match at TakeOver: Stand and Deliver for the UK title. In response to this mouth-watering proposition, Imperium brutalised the former NXT Champion, with WALTER ripping off Ciampa's necklace and blistering his chest with his trademark chop.

According to WALTER, he will see Ciampa at TakeOver. Which means we could be set for an insanely physical match-up, the likes of which we've never seen before, and Ol' Man Ciampa may have to invest in a bullet-proof vest in the next two weeks.
