7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 7)
2. Blowing Rhynos Return
In the days leading up to Raw, it became obvious that the Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer were going to get some extreme backup. When Bubba Ray Dudley tweeted as much, the speculation went into overdrive about who would fill that fourth slot as Team ECW battled the Wyatt Family. While Spike Dudley made sense from a storyline perspective and Rob Van Dam would have popped the crowd the most, WWE went with an ECW veteran it already has under contract: Rhyno. Thats not to say it was a letdown by any stretch, but WWE turned around and tanked it in the worst way possible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkmF63p1aOg Instead of having Rhynos return have any impact whatsoever, they immediately had it segue directly into a 16-man, Fatal Four-way elimination match. The Man Beasts first appearance on Raw in a decade was a cool moment, but it was brushed aside in less than a minute. Sure, he might not be a game-changer for the roster, but it could have been a fun moment on its own, not part of an orgy of activity.
