7 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2019

Downs...

10. Angle City

AJ Styles Randy Orton

When Elias came out for the third time of the night to perform, you knew there was going to be a payoff of some sort. There was no way the troubadour was going to get away with singing three times and not get interrupted or attacked.

But the payoff was just a rapid meshing of angles, with Lacey Evans doing her pointless strut, Randy Orton hitting an RKO on Elias, and AJ Styles hitting a Phenomenal Forearm on Orton (they’ve had an ongoing issue). It was just a goofy way to advance the Styles/Orton feud and get Evans on TV once again doing nothing.

This wasn’t offensive by any stretch, but it felt like something that belonged on Raw or SmackDown, not a PPV.
