Jim Ross’ favorite phrase to describe terrible wrestling matches certainly applies to the SmackDown Women’s Championship bout at Fastlane.

Mandy Rose quite simply is not ready for a match like this in a spot like this, and it showed Sunday night. Asuka never really was in danger, and even though she controlled a good portion of the match, even she couldn’t hold it all together. Things fell apart when Rose powered out of an octopus and nearly dropped Asuka like a sack of potatoes.

Worse, the ending featured Mandy basically slipping on a banana peel – well, it was the ring apron – directly leading to her defeat. So the dominant champ Asuka needed a fluke to defeat Mandy Rose. Just let that sink in.
