7 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2019

3. Dominant And Unbeatable?

WWE loves to book itself into a corner when it comes to monster heels. Sometimes they reach a peak, but can never climb any higher, which results in them constantly bumping their heads against the ceiling.

Case in point, Nia Jax and Tamina. WWE wants them to be recognized as nearly unbeatable, dominant heels who run roughshod over the women’s division, but they lost in the Elimination Chamber last month, Jax lost a singles match to Bayley a couple weeks ago, and the duo lost to Bayley and Sasha Banks on Sunday night when Bayley rolled Nia up with a rana (in a lackluster match).

But hey, don’t worry, Jax and Tamina returned to their dominant ways afterward by taking out the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champs and then beating up guest commentator Beth Phoenix and then Natalya. Because why not? They’re dominant and unbeatable!

Except all those times when they lose.

Let’s note, however, that Phoenix getting back in the ring at WrestleMania 35 would be pretty cool, so maybe we’ll see that.
