For whatever reason, WWE brass has decided to completely de-push Cedric Alexander, pumping the brakes after it looked like they might elevate him in a feud against AJ Styles.

Alexander lost to Styles again Monday night, losing a United States Championship match. However, the contest was a fast-paced match with both men hitting their signature spots rapidly and countering the other. In the end, it was Styles reversing a Lumbar Check into a Styles Clash to retain the US title.

But you’ve got to give Cedric credit for continuing to turn out strong performances each time he gets in the ring. Sooner or later, the higher-ups have to take the plunge on Alexander, right?
