7 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Raw's Season Premiere (Sept 30)

6. Ricochet Pays Homage

Leave it to Ricochet to not only pay tribute to someone he looks up to, but then improve upon that homage.

Cesaro was denigrating Rey Mysterio after Brock Lesnar beat down the masked superstar, prompting Ricochet to step in and challenge him to a match. After a short, spirited affair, the One and Only hit a springboard somersault West Coast Pop for the win. The somersault was a little added thing that Mysterio never used, but it worked quite well.

It would be nice if Ricochet would get a rocket strapped to him rather than spinning his wheels with this half-starts and stalls, but a victory is a victory, so we’ll give it a thumbs-up here.
