If you were to guess what happened between Seth Rollins and The Fiend on Monday night, what would you think happened?

If you said, “The lights go out and Bray Wyatt shows up to scare or take out the Universal Champion,” then you win a prize.

When The Fiend began showing up on Raw word got around that WWE wanted to keep him special by not having him appear every week. That would prevent him from being “just another performer” and make his appearances a bigger deal.

And while The Fiend’s spots are certainly unique and have established Rollins’ fear of him, it has been a variation on a theme every week. The go-home Raw had a chance to do something different, and it was Wyatt once again showing up in the final moments and taking out Rollins.

You just wish they had come up with something different for this appearance, even faking that Fiend was coming by playing the music, only for smiling Bray to show up on the screen and laugh about Seth freaking out. Even that would have worked.
