Offended at being threatened by the 'Bringer of Doomsday', Escobar took his lucha ball and went home. General Manager William Regal soon followed up these cowardly actions by stating that the match would indeed go down next week instead, with Escobar facing suspension and the stripping of his belt should he no-show again.

Sure, the added stipulations and extra week of build will no doubt add a bit of extra spice to the eventual contest, but this sort of bait and switch often just leaves a sour taste in fans' mouths. This contest, alongside the UE fallout, was the biggest reason to tune in for tonight's show. So, those who opted to stay loyal to the black and gold brand during this round of the Wednesday Night War were right to feel a little cheated by all involved.
