Ups...

7. System Shocked

Unless you've been living under an Undisputed rock for the last few days, you would've likely heard about the apparent implosion of NXT's most dominant faction at TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

Wasting little time addressing the tense situation, Kyle O'Reilly kicked off this week's black and gold episode by cutting an impromptu promo revealing his shock and disappointment at Adam Cole's actions. Despite this, he was still willing to hear out the former NXT Champion, but admitted their conversation would likely end with O'Reilly thumping his brother in the chops. You have to admire the honesty.

Roderick Strong soon made his presence known, however, trying his best to justify Cole's shocking superkick. But O'Reilly was having none of it, snapping at his potential enemy out of a lack of clarity over who he could actually trust now. Joining the growing list of people not named Cole making their way to the ring, NXT Champion Finn Balor was out next, also feeling somewhat aggrieved in the wake of Cole's trigger happy foot at TakeOver.

This all led to an all-out brawl as Pete Dunne, and NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch eventually ambushed the bickering trio, setting the stage for a six-man tag main event between the men in question.

Having O'Reilly understandably lose his sh*t over being left in the dark after such a high profile betrayal made all the sense in the world. Throw in a Strong whose loyalties may lie elsewhere and a 'Prince' caught in the middle of the crossfire, and you have a thickening plot that you sensed would only become denser as the night drew on.
