On the back of the aforementioned squabbling session that went down earlier in the night, Finn Balor met Roderick Strong in the night's main event.

Entering the CWC with a glaring lack of UE colours or music, this Strong appeared to be focused on carving out his own destiny going forward, proving Balor wrong in the process. Tapping into the technical ground-game proficiency that has become a trademark of his in recent months, Balor stifled Strong on the ground in the early goings. However, a savage backbreaker from the former UE man soon swung the momentum in his favour.

A blistered Balor would power back into the contest, though, grinding away at Strong's shoulder with various stretches and precision strikes. In the end, nothing in Strong's box of tricks, including a double-underhook powerbomb, could get the job done, with Balor harpooning his opponent with a double foot stomp reversal from a fireman's carry position. A Coup de Grace/1916 combination would soon seal the deal for Balor, but Strong more than proved his worth in a valiant effort.

Will 'The Prince' be able to similarly finish the night holding his belt up high after going one on one with the despicable Adam Cole next week? As Vic Joseph alluded to, only one thing is Undisputed, NXT is looking like a can't-miss show next week.
