2. Deonna Purrazzo's Promo & Facials Need Some Work
Deonna Purrazzo is one of many women plying their trade on the independent scene that have been allowed a chance to shine on the NXT stage. Deonna had performed in TNA and for several indy promotions before being signed by WWE last year. After Asuka knocked her out a couple of weeks ago, Purrazzo cut a pre-match promo on the Japanese sensation and, to be honest, it wasn't very good. At all. Deonna is perfectly capable of having decent matches on NXT TV, but this promo felt forced, her facial expressions were kinda hokey and I didn't believe any of it. Luckily, Dana Brooke and Emma came in to save the segment but it feels like the execs at NXT need to find a way to help new talent improve their promos before putting them on TV in front of hundreds of thousands of people. It only serves in letting the audience know that they're not fully ready to be a character on the show yet.
