7 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 17th)

Ups...

7. Tag Teams Galore!

When you're watching the main roster shows and all you have is The New Day as a great heel act and with a bunch of stale babyface teams in desperate need of repackaging or some direction, it can be very monotonous and frustrating. In comparison, watching the NXT tag division almost brings a tear to the eye. This week's show opened with an 8-man tag team match as American Alpha teamed with Enzo & Cass to battle Dash & Dawson and Blake & Murphy, much to the delight of the CFE Arena. It was refreshing to watch two teams that the fans universally love, battling two duos that the audience earnestly dislikes. The babyface teams worked well together as a unit and the heels worked a slower pace to try and gain momentum in what turned out to be a really fun opener. Vince McMahon really should keep a close eye on this situation and see how easy it is to develop a tag team division with both popular babyface and villainous heel teams. It's really not that difficult. At least I get to enjoy a thriving division on this show.
