Just to be clear, Toni Storm and Rhea Ripley did not have a bad match at Worlds Collide Saturday night. It was a perfectly passable bout.

However, if we’re grading the NXT (Women’s) Championship match on the curve of the rest of the show, it was by far the weakest of the matches. Storm landed an early German suplex into the turnbuckles, and focused on Ripley’s neck for much of the match. Toni pounded away for a bit before the two traded strikes and other moves.

But shortly after Storm escaped a standing Cloverleaf, she briefly regained control and went for a splash, which missed. Ripley quickly hit the Riptide to retain her title.

The match wasn’t bad, but if you had to skip one of the bouts from Worlds Collide, this was it.
