7 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 10)

6. Baron Corbin Takes Out His Aggression On Johnny Gargano

One of my favourite aspects of NXT is the continuity and how you're rewarded for tuning in week to week. Last week, Baron Corbin found out that since he'd tapped out during both Zayn and Joe's submissions, he was no longer in the running to be No.1 contender for the NXT title and this week that rage carried over for The Lone Wolf as he battled Johnny Gargano. The size difference between the two just added to the story of the match as Gargano looking like David to Corbin's Goliath allowed the two stars to add another layer to the match. Throughout the contest, Corbin was using his character trait of being pissed off at being excluded and taking it out on this young indy star who's coming into NXT to make a name for himself. In the end, Corbin defeated Gargano but both guys looked like a million bucks coming out of the match, with a gutsy performance by the underdog and a vicious beatdown by The Lone Wolf.
