About five minutes into the North American Championship match, it was looking like Matt Riddle and Velveteen Dream just weren’t clicking. They were somewhat slowly going through the paces, trading some moves, but something felt off.

Then, they suddenly took off and delivered a fantastic bout, another in a long stretch for the Dream. Riddle heeled it up a decent bit, kicking Velveteen while he was in the ropes and dominating for much of the match with vicious strikes and submission holds.

But Dream kept coming back, even Hulking up at one point to put the Original Bro on the defensive. Still, Riddle seemed to have his number, until Velveteen escaped the Bro-mission and rolled him up to hand Riddle his first loss in NXT.

Solid match, and the Dream lives on.
