7 Ups And 3 Downs From NXT TakeOver: WarGames

1. War Is Hell

What can you say about WarGames? It’s like watching a demolition derby over and over and over.

The match was a tremendous display of talent and storytelling, with Undisputed Era being the well-oiled machine being challenged by four different parts forced together by their hatred of Adam Cole and company. You had War Raiders, who all but defeated UE for the tag titles, battling alongside Ricochet (who beat Cole for the North American Championship) and Pete Dunne (a loner who barely tolerates anyone else).

Undisputed Era saved each other and worked together as a unit extremely well, but War Raiders’ teamwork, combined with the efforts of Dunne and Ricochet, overcame the group. There’s way to much to describe here, but it worked really well, right down to Cole getting his just desserts with Dunne and Ricochet pinning him together.

Hell of a match.
