7 Ups And 3 Downs From NXT TakeOver: WarGames

5. Riddle Shocks TakeOver

When Matt Riddle wandered out to the ring to challenge Kassius Ohno, you had to wonder what was going on. The match was supposed to take place on Wednesday’s episode (taped during the pre-show), not on the PPV proper.

And so KO walked out, calling him stupid, and told him to enjoy his moment, because he wasn’t going to be able to remember it after getting knocked out.

However, it was Ohno who was left spaghetti-legged and dazed, as a jumping knee from Riddle felled a charging Kassius for a 3 count. You could say that NXT burned that match in mere seconds, but there’s clearly an opportunity for Ohno to seek retribution – perhaps he KO’s Riddle during a promo on NXT – extending the feud a bit for a proper match.

At least, that’s what you’ve got to imagine is coming here. If it were Raw or SmackDown, maybe not.
