7 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Oct 12)
Ups...
7. Blackheart Melts The Snowflake
For some bizarre reason, Joe Gacy found himself with a shot at intruding on what is undoubtedly one of the few matches capable of forcing fans to tune into the upcoming Halloween Havoc spooky spectacular this week. If the 'Woke' Wizard could knock off the NXT Champion, he was in.
Before we even got to the two locking up in the squared-circle, though, Gacy once again pulled up a chair and informed his beloved "snowflakes" that he intended on ending Ciampa's reign of "toxic masculinity" and "championship privilege" for them. Someone once again had spent the week looking up buzzwords to "trigger" them youths, apparently.
But no words could save Gacy from the beating heading his way at the hands of Blackheart as Tommaso Ciampa frequently erupted at the owner of the "safe space" with sickening knees, chops, and an emphatic Fairytale Ending for the victory. Despite Gacy holding his own at times, hitting a wicked Uranage at one point, Ciampa never looked in danger of slipping up here. That was, until Harland, the newly bald Parker Boudreaux, stepped in to bring the champ back down to Earth post-win.
Admittedly, things got a little odd when Gacy managed to strangely subdue the violent newcomer - serenaded by chants of "who are you?" - with a stroke of the face. But the headline here is that, thankfully (for now at least), the Halloween Havoc main event between Breakker and Ciampa isn't going to be overshadowed by clunky "Woke" b*ll*cks.
