Aside from Shinsuke Nakamura’s disappearing knee injury, the NXT Championship match with Samoa Joe was just an excellent brawl, with both men savaging each other.

You have to take your hat off to both men for going right at each other and trading bombs. Joe was his usual bada** self, while Shinsuke let out a primal scream and unleashed some furious strikes throughout the match. It’s everything you’d want in a PPV main event and title match.

And Joe stooping to any level to regain his title fit his personality perfectly, as he’s capable of winning without cheating, but he’s obsessed with winning, so that means doing whatever he has to, even kicking Nakamura low and dropping him on the ring steps.

Some are going to question putting the title on Joe so quickly – or at all. But this could be an indication that Shinsuke could be headed to the main roster sometime in 2017. For now, you’ve got to imagine this is building to a rubber match between the two in the next couple months.
