7 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 1

2. Sloppy Six-Woman Tag Match

Maybe we should cut everyone some slack in the six-woman tag match Saturday night. After all, Lita and Trish Stratus have only wrestled a handful of times in the past five years, with Trish not competing in nearly four years.

But their match alongside Becky Lynch against Damage CTRL was clunky and very sloppy at times. Sure, they pulled of a nice finishing sequence that put the villains away, but a lot of what led up to that point looked very rehearsed and poorly executed instead of an actual emulation of a physical confrontation.

That’s not to put blame entirely on the Hall of Famers. Becky, Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY all had their moments where they didn’t quite click, and it showed. This can’t be what they drew up, because it was not the big six-woman dream match that was billed.
