Babatunde might actually become someone special or even just serviceable in wrestling.

But Saturday night was your garden variety big man versus little man match, with NXT’s Babatunde squaring off against the much smaller Colby Corino. What resulted was little more than a squash, with Corino pinballing around for Babatunde, who won with an unimpressive elbow drop and splash – both from the standing position, not dives from the turnbuckles.

The stable Unwanted – Corino is a member – laid into him afterward, talking about how he gets stuff handed to him because he’s big and played football. While that may or may not be true, it’s hard to watch this match and think that he’s anything impressive or next level.

Of course, it’s early in Babatunde’s career, but this match looked like an opportunity for a giant slug to beat up and squash a smaller wrestler unimpressively.
