1. Spotfests

The occasional spotfest match can be entertaining, but when you have too much of it on one show, it can drag things down a bit.

Saturday’s PPV featured two mostly entertaining matches that really were just a series of spots: a four-way match between Sean Maluta, Curt Stallion, Stephen Wolfe and Harlem Bravado, and an Evolve Tag Team Championship match between Unwanted and AR Fox & Leon Ruff. The tag title bout was competed under “relaxed rules,” which essential meant a tornado match with all four men in the ring at the same time.

So you had two PPV matches with four men throwing spot after spot after spot at each other. And yes, it was entertaining. But it was overkill with both matches, neither of which really had much of a flow.

Some will disagree and say they loved one or both of these matches, but these aren’t the bouts this writer will watch a second time when the PPV comes up again.
