7 Ups And 4 Downs From Evolve 10th Anniversary

Ups...

7. Video Explainer For Newbies

For wrestling fans like this writer taking a flier on Evolve Saturday night, it helps tremendously to know what you’re getting yourself into and what you’re watching.

So starting the event off with WWE superstars like Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Ricochet, Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre and Apollo Crews talking about their time in Evolve and how it has served as a feeder system for NXT really set the tone. We saw video of them in their younger days, as Crews noted that Evolve let them go out and focus on the wrestling, which makes sense, since WWE really hones the performance aspect and refines the wrestling.

Essentially, if NXT is the Triple-A farm team for WWE, Evolve is like Double-A (a step below/over). That helped immensely, and makes even more sense, given the partnership the two groups have had in recent years.

So, a hearty thanks for that!
