7 Ups And 4 Downs From Evolve 10th Anniversary

4. Ladies And Gentlemen…

Evolve 131 took place in Philadelphia, in the former ECW Arena, so it is really all that shocking that none other than Paul Heyman made an appearance?

The Godfather of Extreme appeared in the ring (quite literally) to do the ring introductions for the Winner Take All Evolve/WWN title unification match. But before then, we got a little of his shtick, and a little honesty. Heyman talked about being back home, silenced a heckler, and talked about how Evolve is the future of wrestling, which is why he wanted to be there.

Hearing Paul E. wax about how he really wanted to see the up-and-coming wrestlers was a nice moment, and of course, having him show up in the “bingo hall” he made famous was a nice and fun touch.
