Hats off to Akira Tozawa, who has been relegated to 205 Live since the show debuted, who got a PPV main event to show off Saturday night.

Tozawa challenged Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, coming close but succumbing to a Last Shot after his diving senton hit knees. Akira hung with Cole throughout the match, hitting all his signature moves, at one point just trading bombs with the NXT champ.

No one was expecting Tozawa to pull off a major upset on an Evolve show, but what fans could hope for was a good match that entertained, and that’s what we got.
