7 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 4)

2. Bray, Broken Matt Find Each Other

Ever since the Hardy brothers returned to WWE, many fans wondered what would happen when Matt Hardy crossed paths with Bray Wyatt. Would it simply be a Hardy Boy meeting Wyatt, or would the Eater of Worlds meet a Broken Matt?

We got our answer in amusing fashion Monday night, with Bray and Matt cutting dueling recorded promos that cut back and forth between them. Matt claimed to have studied in the library of Alexandria, battled with Genghis Khan and meditated on top of the Pyramid of Giza, while Wyatt surprisingly warned us that the “ramblings of a madman can be very dangerous.”

For years, WWE fans have endured Wyatt’s rambling promos that are simultaneously fantastic and depressing, mainly because despite being examples of vivid prose, they lead nowhere. But now, balance that against a woken Hardy and you have something different here.

These two were made to combat each other. It might not be Undertaker/Mankind, but it’s definitely a match.
