7 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 4)

3. A Perfect Pitting?

Some will disagree, but the pitting of Jason Jordan against Roman Reigns might have been a stroke of genius.

Reigns is the company’s new golden boy, a man who has closed out the last three WrestleManias and is destined to be “the guy” whether fans accept it or not. His talent is unquestionable, but his connection and acceptance with fans most certainly is.

Jordan is another talented individual, saddled with a silly gimmick of being the illegitimate son of bona fide hero and Raw GM Kurt Angle. Despite the relationship with fan favorite Angle, Jordan is constantly booed out of every arena.

But Jordan sparring with Reigns produced a reaction no one else in WWE really has been able to do: get fans to cheer Roman. At the same time, the pairing allowed Jason to show some shades of grey. All of this could be a one-week deal, but we’ll take our glimmers where we can get them.
