7 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 9)
5. Jacket Time For The Diamond Mine
Quickly morphing into one of the most wholesome duos in WWE today, KUSHIDA and Ikemen Jiro's budding friendship on NXT 2.0 has seen the pair frequently collide with Malcolm Bivens' all-conquering Diamond Mine. And this week was no different as the recently-christened Jacket Time went to war with The Creed Brothers last night.
Combining hard-hitting power in the form of delicious suplexs and many a manhandle with the colourful array of fast-paced, synced-up offence on show by their rivals, Julius and Brutus once again impressed. And though the plucky babyfaces weren't able to overcome the Daniel Cormier-influenced unit on the night, they still managed to generate a sizeable amount of sympathy. Not least because the sight of Jiro being de-jacketed was enough to make a grown man sob.
Sure, Odyssey Jones marauding down to the ring to chase off Diamond Mine post-victory, clearly still feeling aggrieved by the nature of his defeat to Strong a few weeks ago, was a little predictable. But this many loveable faces smashing up against Bivens' dominant crew will no doubt lead to further delights down the road.
