1. Epic Wedding Trainwreck

Let’s level here: If you know that your entire broken marriage/wedding angle has been widely ridiculed and divisive among fans, you might as well go so far over the top that everyone knows you’re just trolling.

That’s apparently the route WWE went Monday night with the Lana and Bobby Lashley wedding, a segment so outlandish that it made Billy & Chuck’s wedding look downright tame by comparison. We had multiple exes interrupt, including a returning Liv Morgan, who professed her love for Lana. And of course, Rusev showed up to get some revenge on Lashley.

It was bad. It was very bad. This was the writing equivalent of painting yourself into a corner without a way out. They had to air a wedding segment, and rather than go minimalist and get out of it with the expected Rusev interruption, they threw everything at it and blew out the walls to escape the corner.

The problem is, it just didn’t work. It dragged a returning Liv into it. It “showcased” just how awful Lana’s “acting” really is – notably, she said that other women’s pinkies didn’t have as much charisma was in her entire body – which was Sid Vicious-level bad. It dragged on for 25 minutes. It emasculated Lashley as he completely capitulated to everything Lana wanted.

Just… no.
