7 Ups And 5 Downs For Last Night's WWE Raw (New Year's Eve)

2. Ziggler Needs A Reboot

If there was anyone on the main roster who needed an injury angle, it’s Dolph Ziggler.

Despite numerous attempts to freshen his character up, Dolph has essentially been playing the same character for years, just with small tweaks. Yes, he regularly has solid matches with almost anyone on the card, but he’s staler than two-week-old pizza.

Ziggler needs a new finisher, a new attitude, and most importantly, time away from WWE to be missed. Hopefully, Monday’s post-match shenanigans mean that Dolph is going to be written off TV for a little while. It’s not like he has “X-Pac heat” or something like that, but no one is buying him as a top guy or a serious threat anytime soon, so some time away might help.

But what’ll probably happen is he’ll turn up in two weeks and enter the Royal Rumble, only to get tossed after 30 minutes and no elimination. Yippee.
