7 Ups And 5 Downs For Last Night's WWE Raw (New Year's Eve)

1. Six-Woman Tag Looks Familiar

If you had a feeling of déjà vu watching the six-woman tag match on Raw Monday night, you aren’t wrong.

Going back to the Superstar Shakeup that brought the Riott Squad to Raw, the trio has competed in 17 televised tag, six-woman or other multi-woman tag matches. They’ve faced at least two of Bayley, Ember Moon and Sasha Banks in 12 of those 17 matches. That’s just plain crazy.

Monday’s match was fine for what it was, with Sarah Logan eating a Backstabber/Elbow drop combo for the pin, but it was another six-woman tag match involving Bayley and Sasha that didn’t really do much else than eat up 10-15 minutes of Raw and allow the announcers to talk about the name-dropped WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

It would be nice if WWE brought enough women up to the main rosters so we didn’t have to see the same combos over and over and over. Sure, that could mean less screen time for some of them, but at least give us a couple different matches here and there.
