7 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 13)

2. Poochie! Drink!

Simpsons fans know the famous episode where Homer voices a new cartoon dog Poochie who joins popular characters Itchy and Scratchy. When the dog fails, Homer pitches an idea to make him better: Whenever he’s off-screen, all the other characters should talk about him constantly, asking, “Where’s Poochie?”

You could conceivably consider Triple H around WrestleMania season the Poochie of WWE. Even when he’s not on television, he is referenced several times. Consider how Seth Rollins constantly demanded a confrontation with Hunter despite his not being on Raw since the summer.

Recently, Triple H did return to Raw, but he still is referenced when off-screen. Case in point, Michael Cole’s sit-down interview with Samoa Joe started with a series of questions about Triple H and his relationship with Joe, whether Hunter was afraid of Rollins, etc. It got to the point where Joe pointedly asked whether the interview was about him or The Game.

It was a great point and something WWE seems to forget at times. We don’t need people talking about Triple H all the time to make things work. It’s not overbearing yet, but it’s something that should be pointed out here… and possibly turned into a drinking game.
