Does WWE really expect fans to feel bad for a former 16-time world champion? Seriously?

It certainly felt like they were going for sympathy, or at least an understanding nod, from fans for John Cena’s “plight” – he doesn’t have a clear path to WrestleMania. (As if WWE would leave its biggest star of the last 12 years off its biggest show of the year.)

Cena vowed to win the Royal Rumble. He didn’t. He vowed to win the Elimination Chamber. He didn’t. Then he went on Raw Talk Sunday night and had a pity party for himself.

And then he came out on Raw to announce his plan to find a way to WrestleMania: go to SmackDown and figure it out. No, seriously.
