When Raw aired last week, it was clear WWE was using the 25th anniversary of the program the previous week to serve as a demarcation line. New graphics, new theme music and a couple new features (backstage Twitter video promos, for one) all surfaced.

On Monday, we got another slightly different deal, as Raw opened with short promos from Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns, leading directly to their Elimination Chamber qualifying match. The promos were direct and maybe lasted three minutes in total, and we were off to the races with a solid opening bout.

That’s quite the change from the old 15-minute opening promo, but it still delivered a bit of setup with the pre-match promos. If Raw can mix it up a bit here and there, it’ll keep fans a little more on their toes rather than just expecting the usual stuff.
