6. Booker Channels Easy E

This couldn’t have been a coincidence, could it?

After Braun Strowman’s rampage finally ended, Booker T took exception to GM Kurt Angle firing Braun on live TV in the middle of the ring. He suggested that Angle should have sent an e-mail or done it via certified letter.

The joke there is that Eric Bischoff was notorious for firing wrestlers in WCW via FedEx (essentially a certified letter), including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Sean Waltman (X-Pac) and Davey Boy Smith. Booker, being a WCW talent who came over after WWF/E bought the company knew all about that practice.

And to top it all off, Bischoff is going to be part of next week’s 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw. Again, could this all be a coincidence? Maybe, but it felt like a subtle gag.
