7. PG No More?
OK, that is a semi-rhetorical question, as WWE is not going to abandon the young fans and their families they have amassed through the years, nor will the company raise the ire of stockholders and other sponsors and investors. The PG Era is here to stay, like it or not. But Monday night, WWE pushed the envelope with a little more profanity on Raw than weve seen out of the company for some time. Paul Heyman was profane. Brock Lesnar was irate. Even Stephanie would drop some choice words. And at WrestleMania, Brock got busted wide open and the announcers played it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foiNfXfoLpw&index=9 It seems like WWE is testing the waters a little here, seeing what they could get away with. Maybe that will lead to some edgier comment that harkens back to the Attitude Era. Or maybe El Torito will have an Easter egg hunt match against Hornswoggle next week.
