7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Great Balls Of Fire

4. Cass Squashes Enzo

On paper, there really is no comparison: Enzo Amore shouldn’t last more than three minutes in a fight with Big Cass. Heart notwithstanding, Enzo shouldn’t be able to compete.

And for once, booking matched perceived reality, as Cass completely decimated Enzo. There were no hope spots, no near-falls, no doubts left. Cass repeatedly slapped Enzo around before hitting a fallaway slam, a press slam to the floor and a big boot for the 3 count. There is no reason for Enzo to get a rematch and expect anything else.

If WWE does what Michael Cole said and allows Cass to move on to a solo career, then this is a win in terms of giving him a quick push upward. But if we get rematches with Enzo “getting his win back” to set up the dreaded WWE “rubber match,” then that will be a major down.

(Incidentally, if WWE wanted to prolong this feud, a better idea would be for Enzo to find charges to manage and challenge Cass, enlisting others to fight for him. At least that would make a little more sense.)
