7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (April 27)

2. Murphy Saves, Sacrifices

There’s a subtle difference between being a lackey and being a shield for your boss. Murphy straddled the line nicely Monday night.

After signing the contract for their WWE Championship match, Drew McIntyre attacked Seth Rollins, which prompted Rollins’ disciple Murphy to attack the champ. Murphy actually managed to put McIntyre down, then helped up Rollins, who hugged him. Drew charged for a Claymore, but Murphy shoved him out of the way at the last second and took the bullet.

That’s a lot better than the lackeys who disrupt or distract and promptly get beaten up while the heel leader escapes. Murphy had the upper hand, helped up his boss, then saved him from a Claymore and took the kick himself.

What a dedicated flunky!
