7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (March 23)

1. Rollins Preaches Sermon

Add Seth Rollins to the list of superstars who figured out how to play to the silence perfectly with their promos.

Rollins delivered a walking sermon Monday night, pacing slowly around the ring (with Kevin Owens inside) and recounting how the Performance Center was built on his blood, sweat and tears; how he had to succeed for others like KO to make it; how he rebuilt the system for everyone in NXT and was trying to do the same on Raw.

The Monday Night Messiah then talked about how nothing would exist without him: no NXT, no PC, no TakeOvers, no women’s evolution… and no Owens.

From there, Rollins talked about his stellar track record at WrestleMania – defeating Brock Lesnar, cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, winning the Intercontinental Championship, defeating Triple H – to Owens’ record of losing, or not being on the Mania card at all. Rollins said that KO didn’t stand a chance.

It was a really solid promo that added heft to Rollins’ delusions and put Owens’ back up against the wall even more, which was really nicely done.
