2. Rumble Title Match A Great Choice

Last week’s empty arena Raw filled the dead space by airing the 2020 Royal Rumble match in its entirety, eating up half the program with a bout that was less than two months old. It’s understandable that WWE is going to need to employ some unusual tactics in these unusual times, but that one was a miss.

But on Monday night, they followed a Brock Lesnar appearance by talking about how dominant Lesnar is and then showed it by airing the WWE Championship triple threat match between Brock, John Cena and Seth Rollins from the 2015 Royal Rumble. That was a hell of a way to illustrate just how dominant Lesnar was, airing an all-action bout (and only a 20-minute that really had faded to the backs of people’s minds (it was a match where the outcome was a foregone conclusion, and yet it was a barnburner of a contest).

Whoever chose that match to air as an example of Brock’s dominance: Good call. Very good call.
