7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Roadblock

7. Zayn Begins The Climb

A match between Sami Zayn and Stardust might seem like an odd pairing, but the truth is, Sami needs to introduce himself to the larger WWE audience, and a bout like this was a good way to do it.

One of Zayn€™s best qualities that help him connect with fans is taking a beating and then coming back to Helluva Kick an opponent into defeat. When done right, fans rally behind Sami and start cheering like crazy for him. While Stardust isn€™t Samoa Joe or Kevin Owens, he provided a formidable enough opponent for Sami to rally against and ultimately beat.

If Sami can continue this pattern, moving up the ranks of opponents along the way, he€™ll be well on his way to being a top star. Of course, he can certainly jump a few steps by beating Owens for the Intercontinental Championship. But Saturday€™s match, while not spectacular, certainly was a notch in Zayn€™s belt.
