A few years ago, the perfect opening act for WWE live events debuted on the main roster. Adam Rose and his Exotic Express should have been a mainstay as the guy who pumped up the fans. Then Enzo Amore & Big Cass debuted and seemingly filled that role… until they didn’t.

And now, we have our latest hype act, No Way Jose, who debuted Monday night, leading a conga line to the ring. Jose made short work of John Skyler, but it wasn’t about the match itself. It was about the dancing before and after the match, the party atmosphere that he brought with himself.

Not every wrestler who debuts is going to be a future world champion. Sometimes, you need those performers who fire up fans, or make them laugh. Jose is the kind of guy who can do that, plus he actually has the goods in the ring when he needs to get serious. Here’s hoping he’s not the 2018 version of Adam Rose.
