7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 15th)

6. Ziggler Puts Up A Fight

It€™s safe to assume at this point that we€™ve found Dolph Ziggler€™s station in his WWE life. He takes a hell of a beating and fans always rally around him, so he€™s going to be the guy who gets wins here and there, maybe even a midcard title run or a huge upset win against main eventers. But his primary purpose is to make those tippy-top guys look like a million bucks. Case in point, Ziggler€™s match against Kevin Owens was another solid contest in a series of them for the NXT Champion. Owens beat Dolph from pillar to post, but Ziggler got in a fair amount of offense and near-falls to keep the fans invested in the match, even though it was obvious he wasn€™t winning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qit5tjSK1So Sure, it€™s frustrating as a Ziggler fan to see him get beaten like that, but if it€™s in the name of actually making a new, deserving star, then it€™s worth it. And it was an entertaining match, so there€™s that too. One thing that could be a negative though: Lana appears to be a bad luck charm for Dolph. Has he won a big match since she started hanging out with him? Also, kudos to Owens for selling the impact of the match and making it look like although he€™s a dominating wrestler, he still takes a beating and it affects him.
