7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 15th)
Ups...
7. Crashing The Concert
Normally, any time a musical act performs live on WWE programming, its an automatic down. Special exceptions would be made for the right band/singer/rapper, but Machine Gun Kelly clearly does not fit that bill. However, the entire segment was saved (and worth it if you DVRd and skipped it) in the last few moments. As MGK made his way back up the ramp after finishing his song, Kevin Owens appeared and started clapping to congratulate the performer. Kelly stuck his hand out, but Owens froze and glared at him. The two exchanged words and Kelly shoved him a little, leading to Owens powerbombing him off the stage and through a false, gimmicked platform. It was a tremendous visual and a hellacious surprise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zcOaNTsYc0 Machine Gun Kelly performed at WrestleMania XXVIII, doing Invincible to help introduce John Cena before his big match against The Rock. Perhaps MGKs affiliation with Cena spurred Owens on, but it more than made up for watching and listening to the song. Its also worth noting that despite Kelly being from Cleveland, the hometown fans cheered Owens on. Talk about a rough crowd.
