Fair warning: If the Intercontinental Championship match suddenly becomes a fatal four-way or a six-pack challenge, this will immediately become a “down.”

But for now, we’ll give credit to WWE for making an Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania that doesn’t have a half-dozen competitors, which has been a trend in recent years (two of the last three IC title matches at Mania have had seven wrestlers involved).

Miz will defend his IC title against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. And in this instance, there’s at least a bit of a backstory. Sure, it’s not a lengthy one, but Miz has been running down both men for weeks, which is better than them simply beating Miz last week (which still is a bone of contention).

At worst, this will be a pretty good match that could crown a new Intercontinental Champion. At best, it could surprise some people in the midcard.
