Paige might have made a joke of it, but it has been refreshing in the past two weeks to see Bayley finally show some smarts when dealing with best friend Sasha Banks.

The Boss has not made it a secret that she will do what it takes to win back the Raw Women’s Championship, and we saw her put those words into practice in recent months, eliminating Bayley from the Royal Rumble and turning on the Huggable One in the Elimination Chamber.

But it was good to see Bayley wake up to this fact and give Banks a little taste of her own medicine last week, short-arming her in a tag match. Then Monday night, after Sasha saved Bayley from an Absolution beatdown, she refused to hug Banks, showing that things clearly aren’t all OK.

It was a small development in the budding rivalry between the two, but this is a good example of when trickling out advancements in the storyline is actually a good thing.
